Hot Passion :: Sweet and Spicy Glazed Edamame
Great appetizer or a healthy snack. The sweet, tangy and spicy glaze on the edamame will make you come back for more. It’s hard to stop eating them. Make sure you make a large batch it goes fast, easy to double the recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups frozen edamame in their shell, thawed
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1 clove garlic, finely grated or minced
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, skin removed, finely grated or minced
- 4 tablespoons Hot Passion Jelly
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat canola oil in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Once heated, add the garlic and ginger, stir a few times, then add the Hot Passion Jelly, water and rice vinegar. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the edamame, let cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce glazes the edamame, about 5-7 minutes.
- Use tongs to plate edamame. Pour any glaze left in the saucepan over the edamame. You will agree, it’s Ono. Enjoy.
